In Eastern/Byzantine Iconography, Our Blessed Mother was said to have “fallen asleep” and then taken up to Heaven, hence the term “Dormition” as compared to the “Assumption” in the West.
This stretch headband is made of a blue floral lace bonded onto a beige solid colored fabric, finished with matching beige trim. Approximately 22-23” circumference unstretched.
