Taking inspiration from the alb which a priest wears over his cassock, I made this heirloom baptismal gown from 100% medium weight snow white linen fabric, decorated with cotton cluny lace trim and light gold cross embroidery on the bodice. Unlined.
The linen fabric is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, sourced from local mills across Eastern Europe. 
Taken from a 0-3 month pattern. Measurements are approximately 8.5” across the waist, 25.5” long. Not meant to be fitted. This gown will most likely be oversized on your newborn. This is to accommodate many different size babies. Please allow for 1-2” variance with each gown. 
Instead of traditional buttons, I opted for a bow in the back to be easily undone when it comes to anointing your newborn’s back during the Rite of Baptism.
A matching linen bonnet can be requested for an additional $10. Please send me message so I can adjust the price accordingly.
