In Eastern/Byzantine Iconography, Our Blessed Mother was said to have “fallen asleep” and then taken up to Heaven, hence the term “Dormition” as compared to the “Assumption” in the West.
This hooded cape veil is made of a blue floral lace bonded onto a beige solid colored fabric, finished with matching beige trim. Satin ties are encased in the veil. You may have to experiment and adjust the ties a few times to get it to your desired fit.
Due to the weight of the fabric, a comb clip is already sewn onto this particular veil.
